CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION
|
Students participate in learning the art of food preparation, food safety, meal planning, budgeting, and customer service. Students participate in the preparation of food including serving a daily breakfast and lunch for 200+ students and staff, catering jobs, school events, and culinary competitions. Students may progress through the curriculum into advanced coursework to earn Umpqua Community College Culinary Arts credit, to lead culinary crews, and into cooperative work experiences in local restaurants.
