CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION
|
The Health Tech program incorporates learning about the health occupation workplace, medical terminology, human anatomy and physiology, and medical math. Students build a foundation for choosing a medical career, entering a college-level program, or qualifying for an entry-level career in the health field. Students gain experiences through school-based experiences like organizing blood drives, contributing to the school health newsletter, and earning first-responder certification. Partnerships with local health providers offer opportunities for real world experiences. Students who successfully complete this program often continue their education and seek employment as a certified nursing assistant, medical transcriptionist, lab technician, dental hygienist, or nurse.
