Courses and activities strengthen student’s personal and group leadership skills by learning and applying effective communication, organization and management skills, human relations, and group dynamics. Many of the training exercises are used in training business leaders. Students will create and operate a philanthropic enterprise, develop a mission to fulfill a local community need, become knowledgeable about their mission, and conduct site research into how our community addresses the need identified in their mission. Students then participate in volunteer activity, raise funds that are matched, and award grants to the local agencies of their choice. Instructor: Julie Lauritzen |
