Phoenix Charter High School

Our high school offers 200 Douglas County students a combination of classroom and community-based learning experiences designed for each student to meet Oregon’s graduation requirements and to build their own pathways to careers and college.  Phoenix emphasizes the development of personal aptitudes like leadership, discovery of interests and talents, and making connections with others.

Career Technical Education

Our Career Technical Education programs offer students a more "hands on" experiential approach to apply academic skills and knowledge and to develop essential career experience, skills and knowledge.  Students learn core academics and apply themselves in meaningful volunteer and cooperative work experiences.  Each student identifies their interests, chooses their fields of study, and establishes their pathway to careers and college.  The experience and career skills gained through cooperative volunteer and work experiences provide advantages in establishing and meeting their college and career goals. Phoenix School partners with Umpqua Community College so that students may earn college credit while at Phoenix, enroll part-time at UCC, and graduate with a free term of UCC tuition.

The Phoenix Charter

Phoenix Charter School is an accredited charter high school sponsored by Roseburg Public Schools.  We are proud that Roseburg School District acts as Phoenix Charter High’s sponsor to provide a high-quality educational option to students from throughout Douglas County.
